Some "capitalinos" as residents
of México City are called, have country homes in Valle de
Bravo and play golf at the prestigious AVANDARO GOLF CLUB,
a custom that has become a tradition. The setting of Valle de Bravo
is both peaceful and magnificent, an artificial lake surrounded
by pine and evergreen oak in a temperate climate where sailing,
fishing and water skiing strengthens the body while the scenery
refresh the soul. Above the hills dozens of hang-gliders float,
their many color giving a unique touch to this rustic village with
its red tile roofs and cobbled streets along which stroll the women
golfers and their spouses can stroll along free of stress worry.
A weekend in Valle de Bravo is an Excellent excuse to play golf
at one of the country's most exclusive courses. In a semi arid climate,
on top of the most important friatic mantle in the country, is located
the Club de Golf Penafiel, golf course, with its unexpected desert
sand traps and mature green field.
