For those who prefer to combine a beach with a classic Mexican village, Puerto Vallarta is the answer. The tile-roofed houses and the Cobbled lanes of the "Old Town" contrast with the modern architecture of the mansions and hotels along the shores of Jalisco state's Pacific coast. We recommend golfers plan to spend several days in this region trying out its excellent courses along with a variety of other activities in the company of spouses and friends strolling the village streets, ambling about the plazas, browsing in the craft shops, sampling some delicious Mexican cooking, heading down to Mismaloya Beach or taking a bay cruise to Yelapa, passing by Los Arcos (The Arches) which are natural rock formations out in the water, getting a tan relaxing on the beach, chartering a boat for a few hours out at sea to seek a sailfish and, of course, spending the better part of a day testing the 18 holes at the FLAMINGO GOLF CLUB, the Marina Club de Golf - Golf Course or the Vista Valarta Club de Golf which in addition to golf, has vessels for fishing and sailing if you plan to spend a holiday in Guadalajara. About 50 kilometers from "the Pearl of the Bajío", Lake Chapala is a world unto itself that is hard to leave. THE CHAPALA COUNTRY CLUB is a magnificent choice for visitors that find themselves welcomed with Mariachi music and tequila with splendid hospitality.

In Colima state, Manzanillo is white like a full moon in a cloudless sky. Here the hotels are in a class by themselves and the beaches along the bay are the main attraction, the bars are filled with fun while in restaurants crowds chat about the activities of the day. The setting is conducive to planning a round for golf at the MANTARRAYA or meeting at ISLA NAVIDAD, a resort, marina and golf course where a fabulous day can be spent in the company of dedicated golfers.
