Acapulco
needs no introduction, so great are its charms that everyone knows
about this Pacific paradise to such a degree that Acapulco no longer
belongs only to the Mexicans but top all the world. This is way
playing at the links of the ACAPULCO PRINCESS, PIERRE MARQUES, VIDAFEL
OR ACAPULCO GOLF CLUB is to "finish high watching the ball
fly" with a real sense of freedom. Enormous surf, gentle beaches,
incredible sunsets, palm trees, flowers and tropical vegetation
all make Acapulco special. Along with golf, visitors to Acapulco
fish, dive and water ski on the bay or at Coyuca Lagoon. Cosmopolitan
vacationers go to Pie de la Cuesta to watch the sunset and later
stare open mouthed at the cliff divers leaping 130 feet into the
waves.
Night time is for dining under the stars and
dancing until dawn at the discos. Fiesta is what Acapulco is all
about. Acapulco's neighbor, Ixtapa, is also a resort destination
that has much to offer. All that's needed to demonstrate this is
a playing a round at the IXTAPA GOLF CLUB which includes among its
hazards the exceptionally difficult 15th hole, a 350 yard par four
by the sea with a lake on one side, a river on the other and alligators
in both. Golfers tee from a hill side, aiming toward the Pacific,
where contrary winds can blow a ball either into the lake or onto
the beach, which is out of bounds. Imagine! The entire course, 6,898
yards, ponds, and strategically placed sand traps, making it a real
challenge for champions. Cocoyoc, one of the most mature courses
found in Mexico, surrounded by haciendas and vivid vegetation: tulips,
"bugambilias", and the greatness of a Mexican hacienda
turned into a club house just for you.
