Mazatlan has three great golf courses and, depending on the package chosen, at least two courses will be available for play. Accommodations are available at many different price levels.

The El Cid Golf & Country Club is a combination member and resort course. The eighteen hole 6623 yard course was constructed about 25 years ago and the club is full service with golf, tennis, swimming, restaurant, bar and health spa. The course has generous bermuda greens and fairways, with water in play on ten of the holes. The course is lined with palms and pinon trees, is nestled among the personal residences adjoining the course and is located one block from the El Cid Castilla Hotel. Caddies are available (and required for guests, unless the guests are playing with members) and electric carts are available. Lessons are available from the PGA pro. The Estrella del Mar Golf Club's 18 hole, 7004 yard championship golf course, designed by the world renowned Robert Trent Jones, Jr. is expected to be recognized as one of Mexico's premier golf courses for it's superior maintenance, beauty, service and playability. The course has fairways of 419 bermuda grass and 328 tiff greens that are maintained with superior quality under the supervision of the experienced staff. The course is located 10 minutes west of Mazatlan's international airport or 25 minutes south of Mazatlan's hotel district. Caddies are not available. Electric cart is included in the price of green fee. Lessons are available from the PGA pro. The clubhouse has a pro shop, restaurant and bar. Club de Golf Campestre Mazatlan is a 30 year old local nine hole golf course nestled in the colonias of the city, about 15 minutes from the Golden Zone. The course sports two sets of tees, giving a new look to each hole. Its 6,597 yards are complemented with small greens (in perfect condition) which are very well bunkered. This course will test your abilities. One of the three legs of the Sinaloa state golf tournament is held here each year. Caddies are available at the course and the members and employees will make you feel incredibly welcome. Electric or gas carts will probably not be available. The clubhouse has snacks and a full bar. 	The Royal Villas Resort is located on the beach in the middle of Mazatlan's Golden Zone. It is a resort with exquisite architecture carefully planned with details for the complete satisfaction of their guests. Across the street from the beach and the El Cid Castilla Hotel, The Granada Hotel & Country Club is home of "La Cava" Italian Restaurant, one of the most exquisite gourmet restaurants in town. The El Cid Castilla Beach Hotel features 400 low rise units with pool views, and 200 in a 17-floor tower with ocean views, surrounding Mazatlan's largest pool. "El Caracol" disco and El Cid Plaza, the resort's main shopping arcade, are located in this beautiful hotel. The El Cid El Moro Beach Hotel is adjoining the El Cid Castilla. 390 Ocean View suites are contained in this 25-story luxury tower. El Moro features a beautiful pool El Grotto with waterfalls and caves, available exclusively for El Cid guests. Two of the most famous and delicious restaurants of El Cid are located at El Moro: "La Concha" specializing in fresh seafood and "La Cascada" serving authentic Mexican cuisine. The Marina El Cid Beach Hotel & Yacht Club is located to the north of the other El Cid hotels, at the entrance of the New El Cid Marina, this is the latest addition to the El Cid resort, it contains 210 beautiful suites. Built in the Mediterranean style, this is a low rise hotel with 3 to 4 story buildings, an exclusive ambiance with a beautiful beach, wonderful pools, their own fishing fleet, and delicious gourmet restaurants.
	Tropicana Hotel located across the street from the beach and in the heart of the action of the Golden Zone. Within easy walking distance of shopping and restaurants, the hotel is the perfect place to relax. The hotel features a pool, the Papayas Restaurant, a new Hachi Sushi Restaurant and the Pericos Lobby Bar. The rooms are economical and feature air conditioning, telephone, television and balconies. The hotel has a fitness gym, elevators and handicap facilities.
	Susana’s Golf and Beach Bed & Breakfast, located in the heart of the Golden Zone, two blocks from the El Cid Country Club and across the street from the beach is a great place to enjoy your stay in Mazatlan. The bed & breakfast is American owned and operated by Sue Steffen, a Kentucky-bred woman who has become one of Mazatlan’s favorite people. She has lived in Mazatlan for eleven years, plays golf on the Sinaloa State Golf Team and will entertain you with her charm and sense of humor. The bed and breakfast is Sue’s home and is located on the top floor (3rd) of a condominium building, has 3,000 sq ft and offers three different bedrooms, one with a king bed and kitchenette and two with two double beds each. Each bedroom has its own bath. The unit is exquisitely furnished with antiques and art. All rooms are air conditioned. Sue is a member of El Cid Country Club and her guests are allowed playing privileges on the course. Daily breakfast is included in the rental rate.
	La Paloma Blanca Bed & Breakfast is American owned and operated by Casa’s Del Sol, Jackie Urie, owner and is located on the 17th fairway at El Cid Country Club. The home was recently built and the decorating has just been completed. Stay in privacy on the golf course within walking distance to the beach, great restaurants, nine pools, tennis courts and all the private resort club facilities. They offer three bedrooms with daily breakfast and a daily cocktail hour included in the rental rate. Excellent service by a totally bilingual staff. Requests for private BBque’s and fiestas can be arranged. El Cid guest membership privileges are available to house guests.
