MéXICO MáGICO was written by a world-traveling Mexican university professor who has recognized and acknowledged all the idiosyncracies of his native country. He tells it like it is, without pulling any punches or mincing words. Sometimes funny, sometimes serious, his goal always remains the same: to give the foreign visitor to Mexico as much knowledge as possible so that he/she may avoid the pitfalls that have caused so many problems to so many foreigners over the years. Furthermore, Prof. Estrada has gathered all the legal foundations dealing with the subjects he treats, as well as published comments from the Canadian and U.S. governments. To quote Prof. Estrada: "The verb "to wait" is the verb you're going to be most familiar with while in Mexico; and you'll learn to "live", almost every day, all its tenses: past, present, conditional and future... plus future future! As an exercise in patience, nothing can beat it!" At about 125 pages, this little gem is a must for one and all interested in visiting or knowing more about the fabulous, wonderful, surreal country that is Mexico. |
